The Higher School of Humanities and Economics in Brzeg was established in 2001 as the Higher School of Pedagogical and Economic Skills in Brzeg. The main task of the university is to enable higher education for people from Brzeg who, for many reasons, have no chance to study in such academic centers as Wroclaw or Opole. The school educates students in three basic faculties, categorized as humanities, in full-time and part-time studies. The university’s organizational structure includes 1 department, a university of the third age and a library.
